The adapter lead VAS 5056/17 serves, in conjunction with the additional airbag tester VAS 5056, as a means of accurate fault localisation. The application is described in the relevant workshop manual. The adapter lead is no longer included in the items supplied with the additional airbag tester VAS 5056C, ASE 442 018 01 000. All dealerships that have additional airbag testers VAS 5056, VAS 5056A, VAS 5056B and VAS 5056C should supplement their equipment with the adapter lead.
