This device was developed to carry out cylinder head and valve repairs in the shortest space of time. The equipment is highly suited for all common cylinders universally. The cylinder heads are tensioned absolutely quickly and securely. Use of this device means there is no need for wedges, wooden slats or other counterhold items for the valves to prevent them from being depressed during repair. The valves are pushed upwards by means of an adjustable pressure membrane with 2 bar of air pressure. The device is only ready once an air supply is attached. After correct removal of the cylinder head on the cylinder head tensioning device, a fast and secure repair can be carried out with the aid of the removal and assembly device for valve cotters VAS 5161. The cylinder head tensioning device can be flanged onto the engine and gearbox support VAS 6095. The application is described in the relevant workshop manual.
