Due to the variety of different versions of ABS connectors, adapter VAS 5256 had to be split into adapters VAS 5256 and VAS 5256/1.
Adapter VAS 5256/1 is used in conjunction with vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051A and multimeters V.A.G 1715 and V.A.G 1526/1526A for easily, quickly and reliably picking up various electrical/electronic signals from components such as
- ABS rotational speed sender (inductive)
- ABS rotational speed sender (Hall sender)
- etc.
The connectors are encoded and can therefore be used for a variety of 2-pin connectors.

The measurements are taken in the vehicle’s standard
12 V direct-current (DC) voltage range.
