The pliers are required for removal and assembly of the glow plug connector on R5 TDI engines and V10 TDI engines. Furthermore, the flat headed pliers serve as a means of removing and installing the fuel supply an return union. The applications are described in the "Phaeton", "Touareg" and "Transporter" manuals.
