Wiring harness repair set VAS 631 001 (does not include consumables)

Application:
Wiring harness repair set VAS 631 001 serves as a means of repairing aluminum wires in vehicle electrical systems, covering the cross sections 2.5mm/2, 4.0mm/2 and 6.0mm/2.
The repair is performed using the crimping pliers developed for aluminum wires, the special crimp and the shrink hose, which is bonded over the repair crimp on completion of the repair.
The defective aluminum wire is repaired during the repair process with “yellow wires” (already established).
The requisite “yellow wires” are to be ordered in the usual manner via the VW/Audi genuine replacement parts service. The application is described in the relevant workshop manual.

Consumables are ordered through ETKA genuine replacement parts and not included in the tool kit:

• 000.998.910  -  2.5mm/2 adapter
• 000.998.911  -  4.0mm/2 adapter
• 000.998.912  -  6.0mm/2 adapter
• Other connectors must never be used due to corrosion.
