The adapter V.A.G 1318/20 is used to vent the returnless fuel system on the 3 cyl. 1.21 engine and the 4 cyl. 1.41 engine in Polo 2002>.
After completing work on the fuel lines, nozzle bar, injectors, etc., bubble-free venting/flushing is used to ensure that there are no air cushions remaining in the system. This enables optimal engine start-up and there is no risk of misfires due to residual air. In addition, very small dirt particles that may enter the system during installation work are flushed out and pre-damage to the injectors is prevented.
